So I woke up early because I was afraid of long lines at my local polling place.
It was raining of course, a bad sign for sure I thought.
The first real thing I noticed was the house right next to the polling place had 10 "Yes on Prop. 8" signs all over the front yard. Nice way to get your point across to people voting.
My original expectation of long lines didn't happen. There were exactly two people ahead of me and it took less than 5 minutes to reach the front. It probably took less time than that to vote!
Another observation, for being 8 a.m. the poll workers were very friendly and organized. I think there was more trouble and waiting for the 2004 Presidential election.

When we got to our polling place, the Yes on 8 signs were all gone. Wonder what happened?
